Acting for the camera, whether as a spokesperson or an actual performer isn't about "performing" it's about giving good "FACE".

This workshop goes over the fundamentals and the styles to make the participant feel more comfortable in front of the "naked lens."

This workshop will go over :
  • The difference between acting for TV and Film
  • Choosing audition materials
  • Smiling, eye movement and hand placement
  • How to act in front of a TV Studio audience

In addition participants will learn:
  • Breathing for relaxation techniques
  • Voice inflections
  • How to tackle a cold read
  • How to deal with character pieces
  • Stunt Safety/Fight & Action Basic Movement

This workshop can be taken by all levels of performer but emphasis will be on helping to strengthen your confidence in front of a camera.

What 'ho thespians? Acting for the stage prepares and enhances a performers confidence in front of live audiences.

While acting for the camera offers training for TV (studio audience); Stage Acting emphasizes the "untrained" audience that you'll find in theatrical performances.

When we say "untrained" this means they can actually affect a performance by the way they interact with the play or musical.

This workshop goes over:
  • Acting for plays, musicals and opera
  • Choosing audition materials
  • Eye and Hand movement and gestures
  • Smiling
  • Body language
  • Voice projection

Participants will also learn:
  • Breathing
  • Improvisation
  • Miming
  • "Staging" (where to stand and exit)

This workshop can be taken by all levels; but emphasis is on developing confidence for live performers.
